Real Estate Services Group of VMC engages in due diligence studies, appraisals and litigation support services in a management advisory capacity for corporations, institutional owners, financial institutions and their advisors. Staff consultants and appraisers are managed by MAI designated professionals and work in compliance with the Standards of Professional Practice of the Appraisal Institute and the Appraisal Foundation. VMC real estate consultations and appraisals have been used for securitization purposes, bankruptcy, financing, debt restructuring, condemnations, portfolio and asset management and valuation of partnership interests.

Financial Property Services Group of VMC engages in advisory, valuation and litigation support services of business enterprises, equity interests, debt instruments, intangible assets and other financial property. Through our affiliation with Edwin C. Sigel, Ltd., we are able to bring together designated Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and designated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) professionals to bear on any valuation issue involving financial property. Our associated CVA and CPA analysts are experts in the valuation and taxation issues of financial property valuations including estate and gift taxes, cost segregation and building component analysis.

Machinery & Equipment (M&E) Services Group of VMC provides expert appraisals and litigation support services of corporate fixed assets, equipment and inventories. Through our affiliation with Winternitz, Inc., we are able to bring qualified, designated Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) and American Society of Appraisers (ASA) senior appraisers to bear on any M&E valuation issue. Additional services include asset inventory, reconciliation and tagging, fixed asset accounting support and updating maintenance systems support.
